Youtube to launch its TikTok competitor called "Shorts": Report

Hundreds of music video clip apps are available in PlayStore but TikTok ranked number one of them just because of its popularity and it was the first app that had come with the latest and innovative ideas. World’s Giant video-sharing platform the YouTube is now planning to overtake its competitor TikTok by unveiling its own video music clip sharing very soon.

As reported by The Information, YT is working on Short that features will be available in the Youtube app.

According to the site, “Shorts will include a feed of brief videos posted by users inside the Google-owned app and will take advantage of the video service’s catalog of licensed music, songs from which will be available to use as soundtracks for the videos created by users.”

YouTube has an advantage from multiple aspects, for instance, it has a huge audience along with having licenses for millions of music tracks that can be used for making short music video clips.

As far as TikTok and many other relevant apps are concerned do not have monetization feature, which makes Shorts winner of the competition. By the monetization feature, you can not only get videos viral but also make money. The users that stay on youtube rather than TikTok have good opportunity to pick their favourite artist’s song to make a video clip.

Tiktok is hot now but will have to see after the Shorts launch. Will YT’s newbie able to catch up rapidly?? Can not say. Releasing date of Shorts has not been told yet but as per speculation Google may be very soon releasing it.
